Born 1881, Grodno region, Russia. Reamer. Served four years in Russian military. Migrated to US 1910. Radicalized circa 1911-12. Self-described “anarchist communist.” 1917 joined Branch No. 1 of the Union of Russian Workers in Baltimore. Arrested February 19, 1919. Told authorities, “I understand by anarchist communism that we should not be ruled by anybody else, but we all laboring classes should rule ourselves…I am an anarchist communist believing in the Kropotkin theory.” Deported on the Buford.
